The Henfield U13's football team are planning to visit Africa next October 2009 over 5-7 days to participate in local friendly tournaments and to join in local community projects, helping in some way to improve the local way of life, e.g. helping to build a school, community centre, hospital etc. The Henfield U13 coaches, David Bremner Peter Stimpson and Stan Renals believe it will help the boys understand how lucky they are living in a place like Henfield and educate their ideas and understanding for the future.

The target amount we are aiming for to make this venture a success is £16,000 between now and next summer this is for the boys air fare and accommodation. We understand this is no small task and as well as having set up a small fund raising committee to lay on events such as quiz nights and sponsored running/cycling events where the U13's will participate. We need the help from you our local community to help us; you will see on the events page the dates of our next fund raising activity, please come and support us if you can.
